Vincent W. Adams,Funeral services for Vincent W. Adams,85,of Mechanicsburg,will be held Thursday at 11:30a.m. in Trindle Spring Lutheran Church, 15 State Road,Mechanicsburg. He died Sunday, Jan. 19,2003, in Messiah Village, Upper Allen Township. Born Sept. 26,1917,near Churchtown, the son of the late Walter Adams and Margery Ann Yohn, and the widower of Jean E. (Wagner) Adams, he was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, participating in the D-Day Invasion.

He was a lifelong member of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church,Mechanicsburg, where he was a Sunday school teacher; a member of Citizens Fire and Rescue Co. since 1935; the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame; and the AARP. He was a past treasurer for Meals on Wheels and he enjoyed traveling.

Mr. Adams is survived by two sons, Dwight S. of Mechanicsburg and Barry L. of Temecula,Calif.;a daughter,Linda J. Mickey of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Richard G.Lorenz will officiate at services. Burial will be in Trindle Spring Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11a.m. in the church.Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers,memerial contributions can be made to his church.
