Wm D Robinson, 54, 711 West Howard Street, died of a heart attack at 8:30 a. m. Sunday at the county jail, where he was a Turnkey. Mr. ROBINSON was born the 3rd of December 1903 at Nashville, Illinois, the son of John Wesley and Lina [KIRBY] ROBINSON. He attended Nashville and Pontiac schools. He came to Pontiac in 1910 and has lived here since. He married Alice EYRE on the 28th of February 1936 in Pontiac. His wife; a son William Emery of Pontiac, and a daughter, Margaret Elaine [George] LANE, Alameda, California, survive Mr. ROBINSON. Bill worked as a stone mason as a young man, played professional pool [billiards] and worked at the ship yards in Seneca, Illinois during the 2nd world war. He also worked as an air raid warden during the war. He was a Deputy Sheriff with the Livingston County Sheriffs dept. He operated a billiards parlor in Pontiac on north mill street. Bill loved to hunt and fish. He belonged to the Illinois Foxhunters assoc. Some of his hobbies included rabbit, fox, turtle and coon hunting. He and his wife Alice were very good dancers. He loved to waltz. He could play the harmonica by ear.
