Our fearless leader, Kenneth Bratz, age 77, of Palestine, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, the 20th day of May 2021 in Tyler, Texas. Kenneth was born on the 15th day of February 1944 in Palestine, Texas to parents Webb and Maurine Bratz.

Kenneth graduated from Palestine High School in 1962. He then went on to Texas A&M University where he graduated in 1965 with a degree in Electronic Science. He was a professor in the Electronics School at Texas A&M and Navarro Jr. College. This ignited his passion into Ham Radio's which he continued throughout his lifetime. He managed the family business Bratz Tire Company in Palestine for many years. Kenneth went on to become the education minister at Northside Baptist Church in Corsicana, Texas. He then started Training And Management Consulting (TAMCO), which later became known as Leadership Resources. His passion was to help people and business grow in their communication skills.

Kenneth was a loving Christian man who shared the word of God with everyone he met. Kenneth volunteered a great deal of time to the Gideons Program, helping to spread Christianity throughout the world. His dedication and commitment to the program touched many lives.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Webb and Maurine Bratz.

Kenneth loved his family and poured his heart into creating a Christ-centered legacy. Kenneth is survived by his faithful wife of 55 years, Patsy Sorrells Bratz; his 3 daughters and spouses: Jennifer Ives and husband David of Palestine, Cindy Vanderwater and husband Tim of Lewisville, and Carrie Hulcy and husband Jason of Plano; brothers David Bratz and wife Amanda, Gerald Bratz and wife Kathy, and Gary Bratz and wife Mary; grandchildren: Paul Ives and wife Kelsey, Jordan Zabick and husband Blake, Jessica Ives, Josh Ives, Brittnie Sturm and husband Jimmy, Laura Scott and husband Dallas, Ashley Vanderwater, Megan Vanderwater, Jane Hulcy, Ford Hulcy, Mary Beth Hulcy, and 9 great grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening on Monday the 24th day of May 2021 at Rhone Funeral Home.

A funeral service to celebrate Kenneth Bratz's life is to be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday the 25th day of May 2021 at Evangelistic Temple with Bro. Danny Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Pilgrim Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Paul Ives, Josh Ives, Blake Zabick, Jimmy Sturm, and Ford Hulcy.
