She was born April 21, 1924, in Meridian, Miss., and resided there until her marriage in 1945 to Hobdy G. Rains of Gadsden. She attended and was a member of Central Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Meridian and MeadowBrook Baptist Church of Gadsden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Hobdy G. Rains, Gadsden; her parents, Novaline Chatham Goldman and Asa Goldman Sr., Meridian; and a brother, Asa Goldman Jr., Demopolis. She is survived by her brother, Karl Goldman and his wife, Jo Ann Goldman, Meridian; sister-in-law, Mary Jean Goldman, Demopolis; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Lillie Bell Young and her children. Memorials may be made to Big Oak Ranch, 5265 Jake Mintz Road, Southside, AL 35905. Visitation will be two hours prior to service at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
