Carmella M. (Smarelli) Rojecki, 99, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Rojecki passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020.
Born in Southbridge, MA on November 21,1921; she was the daughter of the late Eustachio and Giovina (Santilli) Smarelli.
On November 20, 1941, Carmella married the love of her life, Tony, and they began a family of 4 beautiful children in Webster, MA.
In 1965 Carmella and Tony relocated to Connecticut, along with their two youngest daughters, where they established roots and made their home in South Windsor.
Carmella remained in her home for 48 memorable years before making a new home at Brookdale of South Windsor and finally at Woodlake in Tolland, CT where she spent her final years.

At age 80 she learned how to use a computer, traveled to new places, and attended several country music concerts with her daughter.
For her 90th birthday she saw Bobby Vinton in person where he came down off the stage, kissed her and wished her a happy birthday; making her one happy woman.

Carmella leaves behind her loving family: son John (Angela) of Gorham, ME, two daughters Barbara Godzik (widow of Louis) of Thompson, CT, Deborah (Allen) of Bolton, CT, and son-in-law Gregory Lohrey of Green Bay, WI. She will be greatly missed by her 9 caring grandchildren as well her great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Carmella was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Lohrey, son-in-law Louis Godzik, brother Frank Smarelli, and sisters Columbia Cygan and Ida Trifone.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary's Church, South Windsor.
