Chilton, WI

Charles E. "Chuck" Grenzer, age 68, of Chilton died on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at his home in Chilton. He was born October 31, 1952 in Fond du Lac, son of the late John & Ruth (Schmitz) Grenzer. He married Marlene Ecker on June 10, 1972 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge where he had been a member.

With the call sign "Ricochet Rabbit", Chuck loved the time spent on the open roads hauling goods from place to place throughout the country for 48 years. He proudly drove over 7 million miles without an incident or an accident and talked fondly about his stellar driving career. His "hunting" career was always recounted for the time spent with the close friendships he had established over the years and the many memories that those trips fostered.

When he wasn't driving truck, Chuck enjoyed the time spent on the family farm where he could putz all the day long listening to his favorite music artists like Neil Diamond, Roy Orbison or Johnny Cash or watching the remodeling of antiques on YouTube.

His family meant the world to him and his grandchildren especially held a special spot in his life. Chuck went out of his way to make sure that each and every child in his life enjoyed the magic of Christmas each and every year.

Survivors include his wife: Marlene; children: Sheila (Tim) Keuler, Brian (Stephany) Grenzer, Jeremy (Jen) Grenzer, Chad (Sharon) Grenzer; 7 grandchildren: Ashley and her fiancé, Kris, Austin, Ayden, Payton, Landyn, Mya, Clayton; his siblings: Barbara (Lon) Schroeder, Joan (Mike) Slominski; and his siblings-in-law: Bob Suttner, Kurt Meyers, Melvin (Mary) Ecker, Mike (Jodi) Ecker, Merlin (Mary Ellen) Ecker, Marvin (Patty) Ecker, Jr., Mary Kay (Gary) Bancroft; and his God Children: Theron Grenzer, Cheryl Neff & Jessica Gierach. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws: Marvin & Martha Ecker; and his siblings: Kenny (Betty) Grenzer, Carol Suttner, Mary (Joe) Schomisch and Margurite Meyers.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home in Chilton. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 3:45 pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 when the service will be held.
