Mildred Mathilda Waldmann Laitner, 79, a former Manitou Springs resident, died Feb. 14, 1999, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a homemaker and a pilot and meteorologist during World War II. Mrs. Laitner was born Aug. 13, 1919, in Kirkwood, Mo. She was married Nov. 16, 1949, to Alfred J. Laitner, who is deceased. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Benz; a brother, Warren W. Waldmann; and two grandchildren. No services planned. Memorial Funeral Home, White Settlement, Texas, (817) 246-4988, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 710 168th St., New York 10032.
