Luella Mae White, age 91, longtime resident of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully Thursday night, May 27, 2021 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Luella was born on August 15, 1929 in Monico, Wisconsin, Oneida County, to Fred and Dalila (Meyer) Schmidt. She was a graduate of Rhinelander High School and later attended Beauty School in Green Bay. Luella worked as a beautician at Kut & Kurl Salon in Manitowoc for sixty-two years until her retirement. On October 28, 1952, she was united in marriage to Merton P. White at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. The couple were blessed with five children and fifty years of marriage. Merton preceded her in death on March 15, 2003. In her younger days, Luella enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and socializing - especially with her lady clients at the beauty salon. She was an active member of the Ladies of St. John's Church; she always enjoyed getting together with her breakfast club group of friends once a month; and above all enjoyed the time spent with her family.

She is survived by four children: Bruce White of Verbena, Alabama, Brian (Dawn) White of Twin Lake, Michigan, Tari DeBauch and Tracie White, both of Two Rivers; her grandchildren: Holly White (Andrew), Tiffany White, Adam (Kelly) White, Sara Menden, Mark DeBauch, Eric DeBauch, and Beverly Stocum; six great-grandchildren: Alivia, Colt, Coraline, Benjamin, Ariana, and Naomi. She is further survived by one sister, Candy Luedtke of Menasha; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Dalila Schmidt; her husband, Merton; infant daughter, Kay Ann; daughter-in-law, Sandra White; brother-in-law, Jim Luedtke; and a grandson, Patrick Menden.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3607 45th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. David Arndt will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
