Murrel A. Roske
Murrel A. Roske, 68, of 715 Cascade, a pioneer Wenatchee area lumberman, died Wednesday morning in a local hospital following a short illness.
Mr. Roske was born Sept. 7, 1902, near Salmon, Idaho. His boyhood was spent in Idaho and in 1915 he moved to Fruitland, near Spokane. In 1925 he came to Wenatchee.
He married Gladys A. Nordin at Spokane Sept. 17, 1926.
Mr. Roske spent many years in the lumber business in Wenatchee and was associated with the Columbia Valley Lumber Co., Columbia Lumber, Potlatch yards. For 20 years he was with the Brownson Lumber Co., prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the Wenatchee Eagles Lodge 204.
In addition to his widow, survivors include one son, Duane M. Roske, Mercer Island; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Marian) Huggins, and Mrs. Howard (Marjorie) Pillsbury, both of Wenatchee; one sister, Mrs. Walter Hall, Elbert; two brothers, John Roske, Port Townsend, and Thomas Roske, Portland, Ore., and four grandchildren. Betts Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
