O. T. Searcy, of Carroll county, Kentucky, brother of G. N. Searcy, who lives north of this city, died at Winfield Hospital last Monday morning, after an operation had been performed for bladder trouble, with which he had been afflicted for several years. Mr. Searcy was here on a visit with his brother and while not well, had not been down sick but a few days. Mr. Searcy was quite prominent in politics as a democrat, in his native county, having represented it and Gallatin county in the Kentucky legislature, besides several other offices of trust. The remains were shipped back to Kentucky for interment.
