Edith Kearschner Elmore, 87, of Terre Haute passed away May 31, 2021. She was born in Seelyville on May 15, 1934 to Alston and Mary (Mathews) Maxwell.

She was a homemaker and a longtime member of The Sanctuary Church, 2311 Locust. Earlier in her life she was employed as a clerk for Goodwill Industries.

Surviving is her husband, Donald R. Elmore, her children Mark (Debbie) Kearschner, Donald (Deneese) Kearshner, Randy (Carrie Sappingfield) Kearschner, and Marjorie Joseph. She has one sister surviving, Flora Hoopingarner. There are four grandchildren and two great -grandchildren. Her two step-children are Kathy Pitcher and Curtis (Penny) Elmore and their families.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Kearschner, a son Steven Kearschner, a step-daughter Yvonna Patterson and her brothers Carl, Earl, Floyd, Charles, and William Maxwell and sisters Helen Maxwell, Betty McCammon, and Mary Gehring.

Funeral services will be at her graveside at 1:30 Friday in Roselawn Memorial Park with Rev. Merrill Weir, Jr. officiating.
