Edward A. Talbot, 58, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2021.

He was in the U.S. Army from 1984-1996 and lived in Hinesville, GA for the past thirty years. He liked to stay busy and worked as a mechanic at Eagle Group on Ft. Stewart. He also worked for Ceaserstone, and Bramli USA, Inc. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR and rebuilding his old model truck. Most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Talbot; sister-in-law, Debbie Talbot; and sister, Betty Benz. 

He is survived by his daughters, Desiree Jenkins and Casie Talbot; grandchildren, Amaya Jenkins and Jayden Jenkins; siblings, Bob Talbot (Dawn), Tom Talbot, Jay Talbot (Vickie); Helen Merkt (Ray), and brother-in-law, Wayne Benz; nieces and nephews, Dale Merkt, Tommy Talbot, Jason Talbot, Brian Talbot, Katie Talbot, Paul Benz, Stacy Talbot, and Allen Talbot; step-children, Tiffany Mitchell and James LaFrance; and former wife, Lois Talbot.

Funeral services with Military Honors will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor Mike Cowart officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA.
