Called to his rest October 8th 1912
Aged 69 years
Saved through sovereign grace in early life
He was by that same grace kept steadfast
For his Lord and master For many years
He shepherded the church at Bethesda Bristol
During the last 14 years he was Associate
Director and Director of the New Orphan
Houses on Ashley Down.
This memorial is raised through the
Spontaneous gifts of some of the many
Hundreds of orphans who thus came
Under his care
His earnest desire ever was that Christ
Shall be magnified in my body whether it be
By life or by death and His children arise
And call Him blessed
