April 16, 1918 - June 13, 2013

Eleanor Margaret Fowler of Tequesta, FL died of natural causes on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the age of 95.

The daughter of Hugh and Matilda Garland, Mrs. Fowler was born in Jersey City, NJ.

She was raised in Rahway, NJ where she was a champion archer as a girl and attended the women's college of Rutgers University.

In 1941 she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Stevens Fowler, a US Army Major. The family accompanied Major Fowler on his two tours of duty in Germany.

AFter settling in Alexandria, VA, Mrs. Fowler worked for the US Department of Defense.

An adventurous spirit, she loved traveling and ballroom dancing, even in her later years.

Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her husband in 1971; she is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Toth of Kingman, AZ and Eleanor McManus (Terry) of Stuart, FL; her five grandchildren, Theresa, Phillip and John Toth and Kerry and Michael Skiles, her eleven great-grandchildren, Anna, Jennifer, Robert, Brennan, Bradly, Brady, Ronan, Connor, Peyton, Morgan and Ryan; and one great-great-grandchild, Ethan.

A family memorial service and burial is to be held at a later date in Westfield, N.J.
