Brenda Lee Byers, 76, widow of Kenneth Eugene Byers, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born June 1, 1945 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Luther Murray and Lucille Horne Murray. She was a former textiles worker and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her children, Linda Gossett (Tiffen) of Chesnee, Jeanna Bowen (Martin) of Gaffney, Buddy Byers of Chesnee and Jackie Ingram of Chesnee.; sisters, Becky Collins of Cross Hill, Betty Ann Denton of Mill Springs, NC; brother, Jim Murray of MO; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Chapman, sisters, Barbara Webster, Deloris Busick and brothers, Everett Horn, Buddy Murray, Dickey Murray, Harold Murray, Jack Murray and Ronnie Murray.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
