She lived in Rockford most of her life and married John "Jack" Allen in Rockford on April 28, 1935.
Survivors include 4 daughters: Shirley (Greg) MacNabb of Plainfield, IN, Barbara (Roland) Nelson of Rockford, Judy (Allan) Hamilton of Janesville, WI, and Carolyn Allen of Rockford; 9 grandchildren and several great-great- and great-great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, a brother and a sister.
