David was the son of David A. and Joyce Lindgren Shaw. He attended Ben Lomond High School, and proudly served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict, part of the Tet Offensive. After serving, he married the love of his life, Mitzi. They were happily married for 46 years.

David was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, painter, woodworker, soup maker, and the world's best French fry maker. He loved fishing, camping, golfing, and creating. He was part of the DDOU Golf Association, and was a fabulous artist, who lovingly shared his art with family and friends.

David was employed at DDOU and Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 2003.

David's last gift was the gift of learning--he donated his body to the U 0f U School of Medicine.

At the time of his passing, David was survived by his wife, Mitzi, one daughter, one son, and four grandchildren, as well as two sisters. He was preceded in death by one son, Carl David, his sister, Jodi, and his parents.United States Air Force 1967-1968
