Ashley Brooke Wegner, age 33, of Columbia, Missouri passed away on June 3, 2021. Ashley was born June 27, 1987, to Dennis Stanfill and Margaret McGoff Stanfill in Memphis, Tennessee. Ashley married husband Matt Wegner, July 11, 2015. Together they built a life and had two beautiful sons, Cole Thomas, and Corbin John.

Ashley loved being a mom and spending time with her boys and Matt. Ashley adored her family, friends and students. Ashley was a second-grade teacher for Columbia Public Schools and loved her students. Her students were a big part of her life. Ashley was an advocate for the betterment of all students and loved their successes. She was a member of the Superintendent Advisory Council -District, Leadership Team Council at Alpha Hart Lewis, Data and Community Committee at Alpha Hart Lewis, and Member of Aspiring Administrators – District.

Ashley graduated from Rock Bridge High School in 2007 and furthered her education at Westminster where she received her Bachelor's in Education, Master of Education in Educational Leadership from William Woods, Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Williams Woods. Ashley was in the final stages of completing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at William Woods University.

Growing up, Ashley played basketball from a young age. She played competitive basketball year-round, 4 years of High School Basketball and then 4 years at the Collegiate level at Westminster.

Ashley will always be cherished by her husband Matt Wegner: two sons, Cole Thomas Wegner, and Corbin John Wegner; her parents, Dennis and Margaret Stanfill; sister, Amber Rose Stanfill; paternal grandmother Diana Stanfill; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ashley is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Grady John Stanfill and her maternal grandparents Fred and Jo Ann McGoff.

Friends and family will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Parker-Millard Funeral Services in Columbia, Missouri. Funeral services for Ashley will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Parker-Millard Funeral Services in Columbia, Missouri. Interment will follow in the New Salem Cemetery Ashland, MO.
