Gordon Wayne Curtis 86 of Winslow, IN entered rest on Sunday
June 6, 2021 at Golden Living Center in Petersburg, IN.
He was born on July 26, 1934 in Winslow, IN to Joseph and
Ethel (Cato) Curtis. Gordon grew up in Winslow and graduated
from Winslow High School in 1952.He attended Purdue University for 2 years and served in the United State Air Force for 5 years. He worked
for Blackfoot Coal Company, Enos Coal Company and Old Ben Coal Company from 1959 to 1979 and Gray Farms from 1979 to 2006. Gordon was a member of
Winslow General Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for
almost 50 years and served in whatever role was needed. One of his great joys
in life was singing especially, singing harmony. He was part to the Gospel Echoes Quartet for over 40 years. He was a trustee, youth director and clerk for the Flat Creek Association of General Baptist. Member of Winslow Masonic Lodge #260 and served Pike County School Board.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Curtis of 46 years, in 2003. He is survived by daughter Beth Curtis of Evansville, IN son
Greg (Janet) Curtis of Newburgh, IN. Grandchildren; Meleah( Craig) Gross,
Tori Curtis and Garrett (Queanna) Curtis, great grandson Gideon Gross.
Sister Mary Etta Beaty of Palmyra, IN. Several Cousins and Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M.(Pike Time)Saturday June 12,2021 at Winslow General Baptist Church with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Rev. Mike Whitaker and Rev. Gary Watson will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Friday (Pike Time) at the church
and from 9:00 A.M until services on Saturday at the Church.
