MRS. NANNIE DELL SOLOMON
Funeral services for Mrs. Nannie Dell Faries Solomon, of 1451 Logan street, who died early Tuesday morning, will be held at 2 p.m., today at McCook Brothers funeral home. The Rev. W. Earle Stevens, pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian church, will officiate, and burial will be in Forest Park cemetery. Mrs. Solomon died at a local sanitarium following an extended illness. She had been hospitalized the past five months. Born in Hallsville. Texas, she moved to Shreveport 40 years ago from Marshall, Texas, where she spent her youth and received her education. Her husband was the late Cherry Stevens Solomon, who died in 1929. Mrs. Solomon had been in the real estate business here the past three years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. N. Vaccaro of Shreveport; a son. E. R. Solomon of Dallas, Texas, a sister, Mrs. Mattie McKneely of Crow, Texas; two brothers, W. G. Faries of Shreveport and John Faries of Blanchard; and three grandchildren, Donald Rand Vaccaro of Shreveport and Ronald Ray and Patsy Jo Solomon, both of Dallas. Pallbearers will be T. P. Jackson, Emmett Faries, Anthony Tuminello, Joe Butler, Roland V. McKneely, and Frank Graham.
