Esther Elizabeth Thiemann Bielski was born on November 13, 1922 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio to Henry L. Thiemann and Josephine C. "Jo" Stauber Thiemann. She had five siblings. About 1944 she married Chester Anthony Bielski from Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, and they became the parents of Paula Bielski Ries. The family lived in the North College Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati.
Esther passed away at age 48 on December 18, 1970 in Cincinnati and is buried at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati near her husband and two of her brothers.
