Norma Chestnut, 79, Speed, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2006.

Mrs. Chestnut was born Norma Hoover on Oct. 7, 1926, in Phillips County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, who passed away on April 18, 2000; and a grandchild.

Survivors include three sons, Alan and Dennis of Speed and Larry of Glade; four daughters, Connie Reese of Glade, Joyce Campbell and Joan Russo of Speed and Terri Greer of Ellinwood; two brothers, William Hoover of Phillipsburg and Charles Hoover of Roca, Neb.; a sister, Meredith Roberts of Lincoln, Neb.; 25 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren~

I Remember She WORKED SO HARD!!! She was working from morning to night!~She & My Great Uncle Roy Worked Their Farm In Kansas & Owned & Operated A Large Family Diner~
She Was A Very Soft Spoken & Quiet Person. Hardworking, But Would Always Give You A Smile. She Could Cook ANYTHING & Make It taste Wonderful! I Will Always Remember Her With Love~

She Died Of Lung Cancer~
