Arthur "Art" Ditmar

Arthur "Art" Ditmar, age 92, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, surrounded by his wife.

Art played professional baseball for the New York Yankees and Kansas City. He played in 3 World Series and won the 1958 World Series with the Yankees.

Art was an avid golfer and loved all sports. He loved spending time with his family.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Dianne Ditmar; 1 Daughter, Debra and Ned Murphy; 2 Sons, Terry Ditmar and Todd and Denise Ditmar; 7 Grandchildren, Nick and Jake Ditmar, Kyle and Sean Murphy, Tyler and Taylor Ditmar and Maryjane Ditmar. Preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Jon Ditmar and Brother George Ditmar.

Memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.

Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at Goldfinch Funeral Home Celebration Center.
