Vickie Elaine Crouch Dedman, 67, wife of Jerry D. Dedman, passed to her Heavenly home on Saturday, June 12, 2021. She is the daughter of Anna Pearl Shouse Crouch of Lawrenceburg and the late R.C. Crouch, Jr.
A retired teacher, Vickie formerly taught at Emma B. Ward and Saffell Street Elementary Schools in Anderson County. She received her Bachelors in Education from Eastern Kentucky University and her Masters and Rank I from Georgetown College. A member of the Ballard Baptist Church, she loved teaching and also enjoyed sewing and playing softball.
Including her mother and Jerry, her husband of 48 years, she is survived by two sons, Derek Adam (wife Jessica) Dedman and Jason Samuel (wife Chasidy) Dedman, both of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Gracie Dedman, Adam Dedman, Amberlynn Price, Brandon Dedman, and Joshua Dedman; a sister, Marcella Laytart of Lawrenceburg; three brothers, Larry Crouch of Chaplin, Danny (wife Renita) Crouch of Lawrenceburg, and Gill (wife Doris) Crouch of Stanford; and her mother-in-law, Louise Powers of Harrodsburg.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 16th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Jerry Montgomery will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
