Cheryl was the daughter of Donald Joseph DAVIS and Sarah Belle OWSKEY. She grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana, graduated from Mishawaka High School (class of 1968), and studied nursing at Indiana University.
Cheryl 1st married Ricky Lee COOLEY; she 2nd married Nathaniel Saunders "Sandy" NEWMAN. She was survived by two daughters, four granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, and her brother Darrel.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son Jamison Nathan Cooley, by her first husband, and by her brother Steven Earl Davis.
