Marvin was born on October 1, 1928 to the late Karl and Elmyra Kalk. Marvin served his country from 1950 to 1952 with the United States Army overseas in Korea. On November 15, 1952 Marvin was honorably discharge. On August 4, 1956 he married Lorraine J. Peters in Dubuque, Iowa. She preceded him in death on June 25, 2015. Marvin was employed at Manitowoc Engineering for 27 years as a crane operator retiring in 1991.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Walters and her significant other, Cal Kliment, Manitowoc; one son, William Kalk and his significant other, Meagan Priebe, Red Granite; special friend, Janet Tague, Merrill; nieces, nephews, other relatives, the Camp Cleghorn Crew of Waupaca, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; daughter, Susan Kalk; father, Karl Kalk; step mother, Florence Kalk; his mother, Elmyra Toltzmann; two sisters, Dorothy Abramovich and Eunice Douglas; special friend, Lois Serowski; and his beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Alice "Stinky".
