Minnie was born Dec. 24, 1949 at Leon to the late Mr. Earl Lee Brown and Mrs. Edna Lucille (Brintle) Brown. She departed this life on Monday evening, June 14, 2021 at the Wilson Nursing Home.
Minnie was raised at Leon where she graduated high school. She married Mr. Jimmy Blodgett on March 29, 1969 at Wichita Falls, TX . They made their home in Wilson, residing there all of their married lives together. Minnie worked as a rancher and ranch hand for most her working years, and was a devoted homemaker to her family. She loved to cook and visit with everyone she crossed paths with. Minnie always had a smile on her face and was a past member of the First Baptist Church of Wilson.
Preceding her in death are her parents; brother, William Brown and a grandson, Jacobi Brown.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jimmy Blodgett of the home; daughter, Misty Blodgett and companion, Nate O'Quain of Ringling; son, Jody Blodgett and wife Kara of Wilson; grandchildren, Addison and Jayden Blodgett; sisters, Sue Landrum, Barbara Byrd and Sandra Culwell all of Marietta; sister in law, Rosemary Brown of Marietta; numerous other family and friends.
Casket bearers will be Jim Blodgett, Jody Blodgett, Nate O'Quain, Shawn Sanders, Scotty McBride, Don Blodgett and Jaime Blodgett.
Honorary bearers are Larry McBride, Tracy Clason and Linda Sanders.
Family visitation will be held on 6-8pm Thursday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
