Surviving are 2 sons Delbert "Butch" (Jennifer "Sam") Smith, and Eugene "Hemer" (Rose) Smith both of Cuba, 1 sister Novella Niecekowski of Marietta, 8 grandchildren Kandi (Eugene) Jones, Rick (Judy) Nolan, Stephanie (Tim) Swise, Terri Nolan, Chandra (Jim) Kolzow, Genie (Eric) Beekman, Jincey Smith, Kendra Smith, and 13 Great Grandchildren.
Lois retired from the Illinois Department of Public Aid, and had also worked for Illinois Bell, Day & Palin, and Tempo.
