Matt J. Steinberger, age, 20, a Denmark resident, died unexpectedly Monday morning, May 30, 1994
Concelebrating the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 1, 1994, will be Msgr. Robert F. Gulig and Father William O'Brien. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic church Cemetery, Tisch Mills.
He was born October 23, 1073, in Green Bay, son of Gerald and Diane Schlies Steinberger. He graduated from Denmark High School with the Class of 1992. Matt was currently attending ACME Institute of Technology in Manitowoc. He was a member of the United State Army Reserve with the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion. Matt was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark.
Survivors include his parents, Gerald and Diane Steinberger; one brother, Scot Steinberger, Denmark, and his friend Cheryl; two sisters, Dina Steinberger, at home and her friend Paul, Lori Steinberger, at home;His maternal grandfather, William Schlies, rural Denmark; his paternal grandmother, Emily Steinberger, rural Denmark; a very special friend , Jenny Johnson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Isabel Schlies, and his paternal grandfather, Edward Steinberger.
Friends may call at the Knutson- Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty Hwy "R" Denmark, from 4-9 TODAY Tuesday. A parish prayer service will be held at 6:30 this evening. On Wednesday friends may call after 9:30 am. at All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark, until the time of service.
"Matt will be sadly missed by his parents, his brother, his sisters, his grandparents and many extended family members and friends. Matt was a person who worked hard and lived life to the fullest. We are grateful for the short time that he shared his life with us."
