Bill was born on the 06th of May 1875 in Lively Grove, Illinois, a son of William M. and Margaret [KENNEDY] ROBINSON. He married Lettie Belle SMITH at Nashville, Illinois. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Nellie [Guy] THOMPSON, Pontiac; four sons, James, William, Floyd, and Roy, all of Pontiac; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a brother, George ROBINSON, Pontiac.

____The next to oldest brother of my grandfather was William Arend Robinson. "Old Bill", who at the age of 92 was still riding his bicycle to town to have a short beer and converse with his old friends. Bill never owned a car. Somebody would buy him a drink and he would stand on the dance floor and dance a jig, oblivious to anything going on around him. He once told me, [when he was about 91] "When Lettie dies, I'm going to California". His wife however outlived him and died at the age of 96. They were married 72 years. At night Bill cleaned out "Outhouses" after everyone had retired. These people were called 'Honey Dippers'.
