Joseph Hronek, of Two Rivers, died late Monday evening in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot and 10 am in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. The Rev. Paul Shumacher will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Tisch Mills.
Mr. Hronek was born Aug. 18, 1902 in the Town of Gibson, son of the late Joseph and Julia Shedivy Hronek. He married Clara Shedivy, Sept. 20, 1927 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Mr. Hronek retired from Mirro Aluminum in 1968. He formed the Joe Hronek Band in which he played the accordion and performed in Manitowoc County area fir over 50 years. He was a member of ZCBJ Western Fraternal Association. Mr. Hronek was a retired member of Musicians Local 195 and a member of Holy Name Men of Holy Redeemer Parish, Two Rivers.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Bernard (Shirley) Samz of Mishicot; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Pormann of Milwaukee, Mrs. Art (Alvina) Kohl of Chicago and Mrs. Charles (Ladenia) Musil of route 2, Two Rivers; six grandchildren,Mrs. Julie Bergner and Mrs. Tom (Sandra) Haese of Manitowoc, Robert Samz of Two Rivers, Ellen, Bernard and Daniel Samz. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial services will be at 8 p.m.
