She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Medlin and Margaret Medlin (King); her husband Donald Larry Acre Sr.; and her siblings, Harry Dunning, Juanita Thompson, Dorothy Pruett and Aleane Gaines.
She is survived by : her sons, Barney Acre (Kelli) of Williamsville, MO, Larry Acre Jr. (Kara) of Benton, MO and Terry Acre (Cheryl) of Fisk, MO; her grandchildren, Mark Acre (Stephanie), Aaron Acre (Christy), Todd Acre (Julie), Christen Kinsey (Charles) and Casey Wills (Jerry); and her brothers, Louie "Bud" Medlin and Franklin Medlin. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 23rd 2021 at 6:00 PM at the White-Sanders Funeral Home-Fisk (717 1st St, Fisk, MO 63940). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 24th 2021 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Shirley Jean Acre, age 81, of Broseley, MO, died Monday, June 21, 2021 at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, MO. Mrs. Acre was born Saturday, April 20, 1940 in Qulin, daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (King) Medlin. Shirley was a member of Black River General Baptist Church where she served as church clerk for several years. She was a retired secretary from the Twin Rivers School District. On Saturday, March 1, 1958 she married Donald Larry Acre Sr. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2021. She is survived by three sons: Barney Acre (Kelli) of Williamsville, MO, Larry (Kara) Acre Jr. of Benton, MO and Terry (Cheryl) Acre of Fisk, MO; five grandchildren: Mark (Stephanie) Acre, Aaron (Christy) Acre, Todd (Julie) Acre, Christen (Charles) Kinsey and Casey (Jerry) Wills ; 14 great grandchildren and two brothers: Louie "Bud" Medlin and Franklin Medlin. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Harry Dunning and three sisters: Juanita Thompson, Dorothy Pruett and Aleane Gaines.
