Wife of PV2., David Louis∼Pamela Barber-Steele, age 67, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Pamela was born in Marshall, MI, on March 8, 1947 to Floyd M. and Eleanor M. (Roe) Withee.
On November 11, 1997, she married David Steele who survives. Also surviving are her beloved daughter, Julie (Troy) Stroud of La Porte; three grandchildren, Michael Allen of Indianapolis, and Molly and Drew Kubaszyk, both of La Porte; two brothers, Thomas Withee of The Villages, FL, and Dan Withee of La Porte, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Withee who was killed in Vietnam on July 4, 1969.
Pam graduated from La Porte High School in 1965 and later from Purdue. Pam was a member of First United Methodist Church in La Porte, La Porte Little Theatre, and a former member of La Porte Service League. She enjoyed playing golf and tennis and was a former City Tennis Champion. Pam was a realtor at MTM Realty and had been selling real estate locally for over 20 years. Most importantly, she was an amazing Nana to her "three perfect grandchildren" (as she would always say).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 am with Pastor Rev. Evan Lash officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 8 pm on Friday, November 7, 2014 and from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
