Obituary for Florence Annette Holder
Annette Holder passed peacefully on Monday, June 21st at the age of 90. She is survived by her son Arnie Holder, brother Michael Arnold, grandkids Lukas and Andrew and predeceased by daughter Leanna Cooper and brother Phil Arnold. She was a devout Christian, accomplished artist and a devoted mother who adopted her two children when they were both babies. While she was a home maker she was loving and generous, providing a safe place for those babies to grow up. When she had to go to work at the age of 50 she took that challenge head-on. She was a legal secretary for a number of years then went back to college and earned a Bachelor's degree at the age of 61, after which she decided to go into real estate and got her broker's license. She worked at the Broken Arrow Senior Center for a number of years, bringing a friendly smile and an amazing amount of compassion to everyone there. Her last job was at the Broken Arrow History Museum where she greeted people and showed them around, answering questions about the city she grew up in and loved dearly. At 84, she finally decided to retire so she could spend time painting again, her real passion. A little over three years ago she moved to a senior living complex in Florida to be closer to her son and his family, spending time with them for holidays, dinners and other celebrations.

Annette loved unconditionally and threw her heart into her passions of kids, grandkids, family and painting. The last year had been hard on her with Covid isolation and she found some renewed interest in painting watercolors again. The companionship of her beloved dog, Tibby, kept her up and moving and she welcomed the limited visits from family with open arms.
