Funeral services will be today (Friday) in Holy trinity Lutheran Church for Thomas John Jurgens, 51, died Tuesday following a long illness.
Burial in Weyerts Cemetery, 6 cousins will be pallbearers.
Thomas John Jurgens was born 7 Mar 1899 at Gothenburg, NE. At one his family moved to Minnesota for 8 years. They came to Cheyenne Co. in 1909, until 1917 when Mr. Jurgens moved to Bethune, CO. He married Katherine Kramer there on 10 May 1923, residing there until 1934, when they moved to Sidney.
Survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Maxine) Hume of Proctor, CO., and Benita Lee Jurgens at home, and one grandchild. Two sons preceded him in death, Clarence dying in a place crash in 1945 and Lee Chester passing in 1935 at 6 months old.
Also surviving 4 brothers and 2 sisters; George and Fred of Denver, Carl of Lodgepole, Chris of Scottsbluff and Mrs. Irene Thompson and Mrs. Fred Thompson, both of Lodgepole.
