The death of George H. Ford, father of Police Commissioner Willard F. Ford, occurred at a late hour Tuesday night. The deceased was 62 years old, and had lived in Watervliet nearly all his life. Mr. Ford was a veteran of the Civil War and was a member of Post Tibbits, G.A.R., Troy.

The funeral of George H. Ford was held yesterday afternoon from his late residence on Third avenue. Rev. W. H. Flouton, of the First Avenue Methodist church, officiated. The members of Post Tibbits, G. A. R., of Troy, attended in a body, and conducted the Grand Army burial service. The bearers were members of the post. There were many handsome floral tributes.
