He was a retired police office for the city of Newark. He was a member of the Ohio Police and Fire (OPF), the fraternal Order of Police and a founding member of the United Paranormal Project.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Christy Glosser of the home, 2 sons, Travis (Mindy) Glosser of Newark and Trevor Glosser of Jacksonville, NC, a sister, Vickie (Donie) Miller of Gillette WY and 3 grandchildren, Troy, Emma and Leah.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Newton.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 10-11:30 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConneslville followed by a graveside service at 1:00 P.M. at the Zanesville Memorial Gardens in Zanesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Eric's name.
