Douglas E. Abbot of Fairless Hills died peacefully on Saturday, June 26, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer. He was 64.

Born in Trenton and raised in Levittown, Doug graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1974. He labored three decades as a steelworker at Fairless Works. Beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, he was known for his generosity and humor.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Florence. He is survived by his father, James of Quarryville, and his siblings, Peggy Gygi (Michael) of South Carolina, James Abbot (Donna) of Illinois, Patricia Mitchiner (Robert) of Delaware, David Abbot (Sherry) of Texas, Donna Peterson (Kim) of Utah, Nancy Seegmiller (Paul) of Utah, and Jennifer Schwab (Leon) of Utah.

A private family graveside service will be held under the direction of Doherty Funeral Homes of Wilmington, Delaware, with burial in the Newtown Cemetery.
