MURPHY, WILLIAM “BILL” EDWARD - The passing of William “Bill” Edward Murphy of Fredericton, NB occurred on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 7, 1929 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Stewart and Alma (McLeod) Murphy. He was a salesman with FBM Distillery. Bill is survived by his daughters, Kim Murphy (Jean Martin) and Janice McNeill (Brent); five grandchildren, Krista Merrill, Corey Merrill, Courtney McNeill, Erin MacLean (Dave) and Andrew McNeill; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Amanda Merrill; brothers, Donald and Stewart Murphy; sister Betty Papke; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill is predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Harding and great-grandson, Carter Merrill. There will be no service respecting Bill’s wishes. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Hospital Foundation â€" Palliative Care Unit or a charity of the donor’s choice.
