Father Simon (Zigmund or "Ziggy") Bifoss is the son of Andreas (Andrew) Bifoss and Sophia Andrea Mavej.

Ziggy had been a Franciscan priest known as "Father Callistus".

When he left the priesthood he continued to live by his priestly vows and continued teaching biology.

He was said to have been too brilliant for the Franciscans.

In 1917/1918, Ziggy's WWI draft card was registered in Cuyahoga County no 1, Ohio.

In 1920 he was living at West Park, Cuyahoga, Ohio, as a church member of the religious institution community Fransciscan Village of Our Ladies of aAngels headed by Neukinhen R Thomas, studying for his priesthood.

In 1940 Simon was living with his sister Mary McKern in Everett, Everett Election Precinct 1, Snohomish, Washington.

His 1942 WWII draft card was issued at Suisun City, Solano, California.

His name on his Obituary Certificate is given as "Callistus Gibes Bifoss".

Father Callistus's last place of residence was in DeQueen, Sevier, Arkansas.

Ziggy is buried at DeQueen, Arkansas. Cemetery unknown at this time.

Simon is my 1st cousin 3x's removed.
