Sister Everlena Akins Nesbitt was born to the late George and Ida Mae Akins, Sr. on July 29, 1926 in Hickory Grove Tennessee. She left her earthly family on June 9, 2007 at Alive Hospice,Inc. at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawer Nesbitt and two brothers, George and Hubert Akins. She was educated in the Rutherford County School System. Sister Nesbitt accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age. After moving back to Rutherford County, she joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and became a member of the senior choir. She was a faithful member until her health began to fail. Sister Nesbitt leaves to cherish sweet memories: two sisters, Mrs Almeda Green Dunaway and Mrs. Gertrude Culver, both of Smyrna, Tennessee; one brother, Claud (Erma) Akins of Nashville, Tennessee; also a host of other relatives and friends.
