Kathleen G. Schmalz, 66, of Westerville, Ohio, died after a short illness. She was the daughter of James and Diana Glanville. Kathy studied at The University of Paris-Sorbonne, worked at The Detroit News, was an active member of the Reynoldsburg Schools PTA, and spent 19 years as an employee of The McGraw-Hill Companies. She was also the Queen Mum and founding member of the Madcap Mavens chapter of the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Diana Soder and Dolores Jack, brother Robert Glanville, and husband of 22 years, George Schmalz.
She is survived by her children:
1. Beth (Doug) Bragg,
2. Peggy (Martin) Valence,
3. James (Nicole) Schmalz,
4. Joanna (Sean) Callihan,
Also brother, James Glanville; sister, Edith Raimondi and five grandchildren.
