Joseph Skinner Braxton, age 82, died Monday, December 10, 2018 at his home.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, December 11, at 7:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Interment will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Braxton was a member of Arthur Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Jody Andrews.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Moore Braxton of the home; daughters, Rachel Nichols and husband, Lee of Greenville and Patricia Meyer and husband, Ken of Grimesland; sister, Frances Mitchell of Greenville; brothers, Wesley Ray Braxton of Hampton, VA and Ronnie Earl Braxton of Greenville; three grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to 3HC Hospice and to the Bell Arthur EMS for their care and support.
