Jeremy James Hansen, age 42, a Manitowoc resident, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
Jeremy was born on July 8, 1978 in Manitowoc, son of Noel and Jean (Peterson) Hansen. He attended Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 1996. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in written analysis. He also held a real estate license and loan originator license. Jeremy was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping with Aaron, hunting, fishing with Eric, and growing up with his life-long friends Brett and Drew.
Survivors include: his parents: Noel and Jean Hansen, Manitowoc; aunts and uncles: Linda Youngchild, Ray (Janice) Hansen, Roy Peterson, Judy (Al) Budnik, Jim (Deb) Peterson. Numerous cousins, other relatives and friends also survive, along with his close friends Robert and Pat Garceau, Aaron Dirkman, and Eric Jacquart. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Frederick and LaVerne Hansen; maternal grandparents: Royal and Ceil Peterson; and uncle: Jan Youngchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for donation of their choice.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center and memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1114 Marshall Street, Manitowoc. Celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Jeremy will be laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Masks are preferred, but not required.
