Martha Céline Stéphanie Dervaux in 1883, is a benefactress of the Scouts of France. She comes from a family of industrialists, her first husband, a large landowner, was deputy and mayor of Rambouillet before dying on March 10, 1916 at the Battle of Verdun. André-Thome holds a Catholic political fair where André Tardieu is received. In 1922, she bought for life from Dr. Laurent Amodru, friend of her late husband, the Chamarande estate. Probably thanks to Canon Cornette, both authorized the Scouts of France to use part of the park for their camps, including school camps. They have various works carried out: drainage, source collection, renovation of the Manoir... which directly benefit the movement. Remarried to an American, James Hazen Hyde, she died in the United States on October 9, 1948.
