Jerry W. "Big J" Alexander, age 72, of Princeton, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

He was born on June 19, 1949 in Graves County to his late parents, Herbert Hugh and Juanita Wallace Alexander. He was a retired registered emergency room nurse for Caldwell Medical Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton and later attended Northside Baptist Church. He was a member of the Caldwell County Class of 1967. Jerry enjoyed fishing, photography, and could be considered a hippy guitarman in spirit playing in the Monday's Losers and Carlton's Combo bands.

He is survived by one daughter, Alexis (Matt) Darnell of Princeton; son, Matthieu Alexander (fiance, Rebecca Walton) of Princeton; step-daughter, Rachael (Mike) Williamson of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; sister, Anita Jones of Princeton; eight grandchildren, Zack Hoerner, Kaitlyn Hoerner, Jada Alexander, Blake Darnell, Kenan Alexander, Savannah Darnell, Gabryella Darnell and Noah McCurin; niece Rebecca (Richie) Boyd of Princeton; and nephew, Scott (Julie) Bell of Dawson Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 12, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Dane Hodges officiating assisted by Rev. Israel Brooks with burial to follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
