1920 US Census listing Lela Jane age 10 living with her Mother Cora Luticia Polk "widow" and her siblings in Lee Township, Pope County, Arkansas.

November 9, 1927 Cordie Lee Pendleton sent for Lela Jane Polk and they were married at Lawton, Comanche County, Oklahoma.

October 29, 1928 Lela Jane and Cordie Lee became parents of Juanita Fay Pendleton - born in England, Lonoke County, Arkansas. Lela Jane traveled back home to give birth to Juanita.

April 5, 1930 Lela Jane and Cordie Lee became parents for a second time to Irelene May Pendleton born at Fort Sill Military Reservation Hospital, Lawton, Comanche, Oklahoma.

April 15, 1930 US Census listing Lela Jane, husband Cordie Lee and their two daughters, Juanita and Irelene living at Fort Sill Military Reservation, Lawton, Comanche County, Oklahoma.

June 26, 1930 Lela Jane died at Fort Sill Military Reservation Hospital, Lawton, Comanche County, Oklahoma and is buried there. Her death record reads from complications from birth.

Cordie Lee Pendleton took his two daughters back to Nogo, Pope County, Arkansas to Robert Henry Pendleton and Mary Jane Casto-Pendleton's - his parents home and they would raise the two granddaughters for the next 6 years.
