Guy was the son of Charles Wesley Yingling & Caroline Matilda Calavan. He married on January 10, 1904 in Davis City, Decatur County, Iowa, to Hulda M. Underwood. To this union, no children were born. Hulda died in 1908 and is buried at the Mckinney Cemetery in Mercer County, Missouri.
Guy married a 2nd time in 1918 to Amy Elizabeth (Hashman) Evans Yingling Laws Hartsook (1889-1979). To this union, a daugther, Ruth Marjorie was born.
