Helen was the daughter of Henry and May Shepherd Twidwell who preceded her in death. Helen attended Blue Rapids schools and graduated from Blue Rapids High School in 1921. She was married to Vern G. Miller who also preceded her in death. They were parents to two children, a daughter Elizabeth, who died in infancy and a son Vern Eugene. Helen, Verne and Gene were farm residents of the Blue Rapids community until Verne's death in 1950. She was a teacher in rural Marshall County schools for several years. After moving to Blue Rapids in 1950, she operated several businesses and then was employed for many years in the Doctor Harold Lawless home. Her passing is shared by her son, Gene, and 3 grandchildren and a brother Elbert Twidwell of Marysville, Kansas.
