ARSENEAULT, VENESSA M. - The passing of Venessa Mary Arseneault of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 13, 2009. Born on December 7, 1929 in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Luke and Melanie (Guimond) Comeau. Venessa was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fredericton. Her parents, a son Luke, a brother Orel Comeau and sisters Rita Morrison and Theresa Carrick all predeceased her. Venessa was a loving, devoted wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her husband Albenie J. Arseneault whom she married in 1948. Besides her husband, she leaves behind her cherished children, Arthur J. (Zelda) of Fredericton, Anita M. Taylor (Brian) of Fredericton, Edmond J. (Gladys) of Chance Harbor, Allan J. W. of Fredericton, Paul J. (Krista) of Fredericton, Peter J. (Tanya) of Lincoln, Timothy Mark Arseneault (Jeannette) of Fredericton, Karen M. Bird (Lloyd) of Fredericton and Rosemarie L. Arseneault (Tim) of Keswick; 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, Dolor Comeau (Emelda) of Saint John and Luke Comeau (Judy) of Saint John; four sisters, Evelyn Lanagan (Frank) of Saint John, Edith Mclaughlin of Nanaimo, Linda Bastarache (Edward) of Nackawic and Rosemarie Prokipczuk (George) of Saint John; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 1 William St., Fredericton, on Thursday at 11:00AM with Rev. John Jennings officiating. Interment will be in the Douglas Rural Cemetery. The family would appreciate memorials to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
